A.B.T.™ PreMix cDNA Synthesis Kit (dT20) 8-Strip Tube is a cDNA synthesis kit containing all the components necessary to obtain cDNA in a high yield from RNA samples. The kit is ready for use. A.B.T.™ PreMix cDNA Synthesis Kit (dT20) 8-Strip Tube makes the cDNA synthesis practical by combining all lyophilized components required for cDNA synthesis reaction in a single tube, one-step format. A.B.T.™ PreMix cDNA Synthesis Kit (dT20) 8-Strip Tube saves time and reduces potential contaminating errors by eliminating several pipetting steps. A genetically modified MMLV reverse transcriptase (an RNA-dependent DNA polymerase) in the kit is used in cDNA synthesis with long RNA templates. The enzyme has no RNase H activity. Thus, it can produce long cDNAs. Reaction buffer in the kit allows for RT reaction temperatures up to 50°C. This situation can increase the efficiency of the reaction by melting secondary RNA structures and reducing non-specific priming. The kit is also included oligo dT (20) primers which is anneals selectively on the poly (A) tail of mRNA. Therefore, they can be used for transcription of the 5’-end regions of mRNA. Specific primers may also be used with the kit. The first strand of cDNA can be directly used as a template in PCR.
