ABT ™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit is designed to detect specific proteins found on the surface of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Rapid antigen tests give results within minutes with a sample taken with the help of a nose or throat swab. ABT ™ COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test Kit has a high accuracy of 97.6% and a specificity of 99.4%. In this way, it gives accurate results in samples taken from both symptomatic and asymptomatic COVID-19 infected individuals and can be used to identify carriers in the community. It has also been proven to detect the virus in the early stage of infection, thanks to its low detection limit. Thus, it can detect the virus before the patient’s symptoms begin to occur.

TEST RUN:
Sample Collection:
Tilt the patient’s head back slightly to collect an oropharyngeal or nasopharyngeal swab. For an oropharyngeal swab, insert the swab into the oral cavity so that it does not touch the tongue and teeth, collect swab by rotating the swab from the pharyngeal mucosa (tonsils and posterior wall of the throat). For a nasopharyngeal swab, gently insert the swab through the nasal cavity into the nasopharyngeal cavity. After making sure the swab is placed horizontally, advance the swab until you feel a slight resistance. Leave the swab there for a few seconds, then pull it out with a rotating motion. Care should be taken to keep the tip of the swab wet.
Sampling:
Open the reagent tube. Place the swab in the reagent tube and spin to dissolve as much of the sample in solution as possible. Withdraw the swab while squeezing the reagent tube. Dispose of the swab biologically safe. Squeeze the rubber absorber of the Pasteur pipette and place it in the reagent solution. Fill the pipette with sample material by lowering the pressure and remove the pipette from the solution.
Result:
Remove the test cassette from the aluminum foil pouch and place it on a flat, dry surface. Invert and gently squeeze the reagent tube containing the sample material, including the dropper cap, and add 2 drops (45 ~ 75μL) to the sample well of the test cassette. Read the result after 10 ~ 15 minutes.
* Please make sure that the proper amount of sample material is used. Too much or too little sample and / or reagent solution may cause deviations in results.
